The Kasi Mandala Tapestry is part of our " Mandala Series" depicting the synchronous patterns through our upcycled art, of course in plant based form. Housed on a sturdy rainfed cotton handloom durrie and held by teakwood rod with braided jute ropes.

At Jiwya, we are proud to be zero-waste in our production. That means, every ounce of fabric leftover from patterns is utilized. Every fragment in this large mandala is made from fabrics from our own production line. 10 different textile art forms in plant colours embellish this piece. Exquisite weaves, rare hand-block prints, both coming together for opulence.

This limited edition, singular tapestry can bring statement appeal to any wall in your home!

ABOUT THE BRAND

Clothing that comes from the soil and returns to it. JIWYA was founded in 2022 in Nashik, India, by textile scientists Aishwarya Lahariya and Adhiraj Shinde, who left their careers in the US and travelled to more than 200 Indian cities to learn the country's heritage crafts. The name comes from the Sanskrit word jeev, a reminder to care for every life on the planet, and it shapes everything the brand makes: seven native plant fibres, twenty plant-derived colours, and no synthetic dyes, plastic or animal products.

Every piece passes through many hands. Fibres are sourced from more than 150 artisan clusters across India, then handspun, handwoven, hand-embroidered and finished in-house, with some shirts and dresses taking 100 to 200 hours of skilled work. Artisans are paid well above industry standards, offcuts become embellishments, and through Re:Jiwya every garment comes with lifetime repairs and restyling. These are timeless pieces, made to be worn for years and, one day, returned to the earth.
