THUNA is a local brand for universal women. Founded in Kuwait, it curates contemporary, handmade, and high-quality casual women footwear. The word THUNA is derived from the word “pair” in Arabic, which is how shoes are always made and also represents the two founders behind the brand.


The brand was created by two young Kuwaiti woman, Altaf Almudhayan and Sharifa Alsuleity. Altaf always had an obsession for shoes and Sharifa always felt frustrated that she cannot find shoes in Kuwait compared to what she finds abroad. The two friends came together and decided to fill a gap in the local market by working with international designers and manufacturers to create world-class shoes that can be found right at home.
